CAD & Design

Computer Aided Design and Engineering

Selected industrial and academic CAD work completed using Creo Parametric. The page includes approved visual evidence, reports and controlled publication notes.

Industrial CAD Project: Hevasure Aquila 2

Industrial CAD project completed for Hevasure Ltd to create a 3D model of the Aquila 2 remote monitoring station. The model was produced remotely from supplied dimensions, drawings and product information using Creo Parametric 9.0.

The project demonstrates product visualisation and CAD support where access to the physical product is limited. The published evidence is limited to approved visual material suitable for portfolio demonstration.

Project context

The model was created from reference material provided by Hevasure rather than from direct physical measurement. The work was completed remotely and focused on producing a clean visual CAD representation of the product.

Disclosure note

The screenshot and video loop are published with permission. Individual employee names, email addresses, internal drawings, dimensions and native CAD files are not included.

Final year CAD project: Throttle Valve Assembly

Creo assembly-design coursework for an internal-combustion engine throttle valve. The work included component modelling, standard parts, assembly development, technical drawings, material selection and FEA-led design improvement.

Creo 3D modelling Assembly design FEA BS8888

Engineering work

The design considered clearances, standard machine elements, operating temperature, material selection and pressure-related loading. Creo Structure was used to review valve-body behaviour and support a mass-reduction update while maintaining a minimum safety factor of 2.

Report

The report records the design process, assembly development, material selection, FEA results and technical drawings.

Final year CAD project (extended): Reverse Engineering, Mould Design and CAM

Creo coursework covering point-cloud reconstruction, die-casting modification, mould-tool development and CAM machining simulation for an aluminium casting.

Creo Reverse engineering Mould design CAM G-code

Manufacturing work

The project considered parting surfaces, shrinkage, draft angles, mould cavities, test-shot evaluation, process planning, cutting parameters and machining-time optimisation.

Report

The report records the reverse-engineering process, mould design, machining strategy, CAM simulation and final manufacturing outputs.

Publication Notes

CAD evidence is published selectively. Native Creo files, internal drawings, dimensions and restricted working files remain offline unless publication is appropriate.
