Privacy Policy

This portfolio site collects no personal data, sets no cookies, and does not use tracking analytics. The full detail is below.

What this site does not do

No tracking analytics

The site does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or any equivalent tool that profiles visitor behaviour. No visitor session is recorded or replayed.

No cookies

The site does not set any first-party or third-party cookies. Because of this, no cookie consent banner is required under UK GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive.

No account or sign-up

There is no login, no account creation, and no newsletter. Nothing asks for your personal information.

What this site does do

Preferences saved locally on your device

The accessibility widget (light/dark theme, text size, reduced motion) saves your preference in your browser's localStorage. This never leaves your device and is not readable by this site or any third party from any other page.

Visitor count

A total visitor count is displayed on the home page. It uses a free third-party counter service (Abacus), which increments a single global integer. No IP address, browser fingerprint, or personal detail is stored.

Live carbon-intensity dashboard

The Robotics & Automation page fetches live UK grid data from the National Grid ESO Carbon Intensity API. These requests happen from your browser directly to the API and are not routed through or logged by this site.

LinkedIn profile badge

The About page displays a LinkedIn profile badge served in an iframe from platform.linkedin.com. LinkedIn may set its own cookies within that iframe subject to LinkedIn's own privacy policy. Blocking third-party iframes (via your browser or an extension) will hide the badge without affecting any other part of the site.

Comment box

The comment box on the home page constructs a mailto: link and opens it in your default email application. Nothing is submitted to any server. If you don't send the email, no data leaves your device.

Contact

Questions about this policy or how the site works can be sent to Adammunn71@gmail.com. Since no data is collected, there is no data to request, correct, or delete.
